2009 - Linked Cadd Files into a Design Option?

Hi all,

As the title says, is it possible to put linked cad plans into a design option? Primarily, I want the cad files to be "locked," or rather, non-selectable. Pinning the cad file helps, but only goes so far.

Hey Bryan,

Yes, It is possible to link CAD into a design option, which will make the dwg non-selectable (unless you are editing that option) yet still maintain its ability to be updated.

Thanks for the reply... Does it only work with non-linked DWG files? For some reason, I get an error message when I try to put the linked DWG into a design option...


None of the selected elements can be added to this Option Set. The following warnings provide additional information.
