I have a fairly good understanding of Phasing and Filtering within RAC, but
am at a loss as to Phasing and Layers when exporting to CAD for Consultants.
How and or Where can I force items that are demo'd, i.e. walls, to export to
say A-Wall-Demo, or Doors to A-Door-Demo.

I have set our Export Layers up for our 'old' Cad stds, but I cannot see
where to incorporate for Demo or New Items. Any one?

Thanks

Mike M.

Demo, Temp, etc have Layer suffixes and colors that you set up in the DWG/DGN Layer Export settings TXT file. "R" > Export > Settings > DGN/DWG Settings.

I am having trouble setting the different elements of the wall to export to different ACAD layers. I want my GYP and exterior stucco to be seperated out off of A-WALL so our consultants can just see the core. I changed the Finish layer in the Export Layers set up but it did nothing in the .dwg. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

IT cannot be done. You'll have to do it in the acad drawing. Revit does not provide a way to separate the component portions of a wall.

Actually, Scott, I believe you are incorrect.
It CAN be done (if I am understanding the question correctly) by going into Visibility/Graphics of the view that you are exporting, and on the model categories tab, put a check in the box next to Cut Line Styles, in the "Override Host Layers" dialog box.

Let me know if this is what you are looking to do.
