Is there a way to lock the elevation markers or make them specific to the view? My elevations and sections have elevation/elev markers - center lines with a bubble and text. Now I keep orienting them the way they look good on each view and I just noticed that when I move them in one view it affects them on all the other views. So now I go back to my sheets that I had my sections all setup the way I wanted them and the elevation markers are all over the place, or gone, or inside the building.

Please tell me there is a way to have them static on each view??? Thanks.

Regards Peter.

Elevation Markers, no (not even in 2010). Section marks, OOTB can have the head and tail (length of marker adjusted independantly in each view. You can even "flip" the head and tail with each other. You cannot move the line of the section in a direction perpendicular to the line.

Only work around would be to hide the elevation mark in the views, and then place an elevation mark using the Reference Existing View option, and then it can be moved independantly. However, you'd have to repeat the process for every different view you want to move the marks in. Usually this is too much pain to be worth it.
