I have a beam system that is pocketed into CMU walls. All four walls extend above the roof.
Now they want to slope this roof. I can easily slope the slab, but how do I slope the beam system? The tops of the walls do not define the slope and there are no girders.
Thanks,
Tim

You can create a sloping reference plane at the required slope of your roof and then edit the work plane of your beam system.
in the specify a new plane category just select your sloping refernce plane. just dont forget that you have to neame your plane first or it wont show up in the dialog..
hope this helps

In order to redefine the Workplane of a Beam System the Reference Plane needs to be parallel to the original one first. You can rotate the Reference Plane after reassigning the Beam System's Workplane.

Yeah, I couldn't get the slopping plane to work. As you said the reference plane has to be parallel to the beam system. I have just been cutting a section and then rotating the beam system (without using a reference plane). It works, but I was hoping for something better.
Thanks, Tim
