Gutters in Revit 2009

Im just trying to answer a few questions about gutters.

1 How do i join segments of guttering ive created together so they act as 1. As ive moved around the building ive stop and start the command.

2 How do i cut a segment out of a section (run) of the guttering. e.g i want to remove part of a gutter the runes through a roof. i would like to start and stop it a either end were it meets the roof slope

3 How do i change the colour of the gutter system ive just used a default 1 from the library

1. You can pick more than one roof edge for a single gutter instance when placing the gutter. Also, use the "Add or Remove Segments" button on the Options Bar to amend existing gutters.

2. You can place more than one instance on the same roof edge. Place on instance and then use the grips at either end of the gutter to drag it back, then you can either place another instance or use the "Add or Remove Segments" to place another segment to the roof edge.

3. Select the gutter and go into it's Type Properties, then change the Material. You can also globally change all gutter materials in the Object Styles.
