I was curious if anyone here had tried this program yet?

MWF - Metal Wood Framer

It appears to use Revit to generate framing for a structure. Any thoughts on if it works, etc?

It's pretty neat. I looked at it for some housing we were helping out with. It's pretty automatic, and did a decent job. Wasn't fully automatic, you still had to hand-edit some conditions, and it's very dependent upon your wall joins. One thing I really liked is that it can output to CNC metal stud formers, which are pretty awesome. Sadly the project we were going to use it on fell through, otherwise I'd probably have a lot more to say about it... :D

Tried it for the wood portion, was very disappointed. it figured every thing to the center lines of wall for joints and made no adjustments to wall length at corners and tees. and didn't put junctions in. on a sloped wall with a trap window spaced above a door... things really got ugly. Maybe I was too dumb to figure out how to use the software since I'm used to panel design software already. Could have used a basic tutorial on a simple design if they had one.

I don't think we'd have been able to use it anyway though, since our existing panel design software talks with our plant floor software.
