2010 cut and paste text

I there something I'm missing.

I can't paste from word pad to text?

OR I can't cut and paste from text from one view to another view?

Has this been changed in 2010?

Use text command to place text in view, then go to Modify tab and select paste.


OR I can't cut and paste from text from one view to another view?Select text you want to copy, select copy command from Modify Text Notes contextual ribbon, go to other view, select paste.

Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V still work normally. I don't think I've ever used the Edit menu for cut/paste other than Paste Aligned.

Hi Don,

I've been using Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V as patricks describes in 2010 to put all my construction notes from Notepad into Revit Views with no apparent problems so far.

I click the Text button, click in the view and then open notepad and my text note, select it and Ctrl+C then go back to Revit and Ctrl+V pops it into the text box.
