rvt2010 error

so i ran revit 2010 on a new file template today and found this lovely error

if i open from the recent dialog, it just crashes

if i open with no template, it just crashes

whats funny, i dont have an F:\ drive, either local or mapped...
but since its a cpp file, my guess is that was the location of the source code when they were writing/compiling it.

Are you running any Revit Plug-Ins or add-ons?

If so, try uninstalling them and then performing a repair install of Revit (and don't reinstall the plug-ins) to see if that helps.

If not, then I'm with Paul Monsef - I don't know what to tell you.

I do like the phrasing of the message - "Exception thrown in destructor" - it sounds ominous.

i tried removing the 'revit extensions'
that did not do much good

guess ill try the repair install...

or if that does not work, just uninstall completely wipe the directory and registry and reinstall

edit: WTF - tried to run the installer to repair and it just uninstalled it - is 2010 a complete product or beta?

edit: oh well, reinstall worked
odd thing, when i ran revit 2010 after reinstall, it was default ribbon and shortcut bar, but i closed it and ran it again and it was what i had configured it to be before i had the crashing problem... wierd... its like autocad 2010, where i had configured the ribbon / quick access bar, but depending if i open autocad with a blank new file or an existing file, the quick access bar will jump from above or below the ribbon...
