Hi all. I was hoping some1 would be able to help
I'm trying to import some cad into revit but I keep on getting this error

A serious error has occurred. It is strongly recommended that you use Save As to save your work in a new file before continuing
Now, Ive tried exploding the cad, cutting and pasting it into a new file along with saving the cad to different formats but I still get the same error......

Can any1 see away around this other than re-drawing it????

Hi Kenny,

No luck here, I tried all the usual things of purging - auditing - saving as an earlier version - saving as dxf and Revit 2009 spat them all out with the same error as you have.

No idea at all - sorry

Hi Kenny,

Had a look at the dwg and noticed that it wasn't drawn in the correct XY Axis, so that when you inserted it into another drawing, all you saw was a straight line!

I 3D rotated the entities for you around the X axis. It should import now with no problem.
