Hello everybody,
I've recently started using revit and have just about completed my first full building model/project. I'm quite impressed with the software, aside from a few problems that i cant seem to get around!! This is a live project and time is pressing so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
1) My first problem sounds very simple but is prooving quite tricky!! I need to put a curved soldier course above each of the doors and windows, how should I go about this as the sweeps only seem to go vertical or horizontal in parralell lines!!
2) I've created a roof (actualy 2 that wont join for some reason, but that isnt the problem!) with the correct construction layers etc. The problem is with the side elevations, the roof construction flys through the walls which is not what i want! All i want on the side elevations is to show the edge of the roof tile with the brickwork running up to it. I have tried constructing a thin roof using the tile thickness which looks ok in the elevations, but it screws the building section up which is crucial for headroom! I also tried creating 2 roofs via extrusion one on top of the other, one the thickness of the tiles, the other the remaining thickness of the roof construction, but again this caused problems with the front of the building with the ventillated corbelled eaves, which leads to problem 3!
3) What method should I use to place a dentil course to the eaves of the front of the building? I have tried making a sweep the width of one brick, then arraying/coppying it along the wall but it wont let me!!
Any help with these three matters would be greatly appreciated as the appearence of the building is crucial for planning reasons and I'm being pressured to produce the drawings quickly!!!
I have attached the eaves detail that I am trying to achieve at the front of the building.
Again, thanks for any help!!
