Can you import a PDF file to a drafting view like you can a JPG file?

Thanks

As far as I know, you can't import PDF to any view.

While you can't import a PDF, you can (I think) convert the pdf. to a .png; .jpeg, jpg, bmp or tif and import that as an image file.
Hope this helps.

You can import pdf to AutoCAD and you can import dwg into Revit.

That might be begging for a Revit crash

You can import pdf to AutoCAD and you can import dwg into Revit...
Have you actually done that successfully? If so, what software versions?

Yes my answer was misleading. I did not think it through, when i wrote it. I was in a hurry.

Some moths back I had a project where i got everything from architect as a pdf files.( real BIM solution)
So i used Autocad to to to extract information(draw some lines) and then imported it into Revit.
So i got what i needed this way from pdf to revit.

But the right answer, in this thread, would have been "No".

I apologize for any inconvenience my answer might have caused.

Have any of you had problems importing jpg images into Revit? I have loads of jpg images to insert, City required documents. After or during import some of these images get lost. They are there to select, but the data is all gone. Is this a bug or is there a limit to the # of images I can import into Revit? I am using Revit 2009 and these images were initially PDF's that I converted to jpg files in Acrobat.

Is there another solution other than having to insert these images in ACA and then bring them into Revit?

Thanks,
Aracely
