Class Name: Making the transition from AutoCAD Architecture to Revit Architecture
This is a case study of our firm, and our transition from AutoCAD Architecture to Revit Architecture. This class will focus on our pilot project, a 5 Building Juvenile Detention Facility in California. We will look at our unique issues related to this project during the transition, and what we did to overcome them and make this a successful project. We will look at how we coordinated the project between disciplines, not all of them using Revit. What we did for families when OOTB families wouldnt cut it. How we came up with our custom wall types for this multi-building project. We will also look how we used linking and the project coordinates to keep everything organized and in its right location.
