I notice that if I "Link" a survey custom linetypes and block do not display properly in Revit
but if I "Import" the survey they display correctly, anyone run into this?

Has anyone found a solution for this? The linetypes in our civil dwg link don't show up either way. We are losing all of the custom civil lines (water, gas, etc...). They only show up as dashed lines without the text. (using Revit 2009)

I have noticed similar problems with Civil engineering files.
I think our Civil Eng is using Civil 3D, or some other application like that... Not vanilla AutoCAD. So when I open their DWG file in autoCAD, everything comes in as an "AutoCAD Proxy Element."
When I bring that file into my Revit project, I have very limited functionality, with their file... Things often don' t appear correctly. Can't use their contour lines to generate topography... stuff like that.
In the end, I ask the Civil to resend their file, and make sure that all elements are polylines, or some other native AutoCAD element. Just be prepared, because they will probably gripe about this request.
