is there a way to show dimensions in a callout view?
I'm using Revit Arch 2009, I have dimensions & Automatic sketch dimensions checked in visibility / graphics overrides, but the dimensions wont show up.
Thanks

Are you referring to the dimensions in the original view, from which the callout is taken? They won't show up in the callout.

Yes I am, I was thinking in autocad terms (model space/paper space) & didn't realize I had to dimension the callout view.
I'm still learning Revit.
thanks for your time

Sometimes Revit actually forces you do the "right" thing. You normally don't want to dimension the same thing twice, right? Just like it won't let you place the same view on two different sheets.

A bit of clarification:
You can duplicate a view with detailing, which is how you can place the same view on two sheets. You can then change the scale of the duplicate, in effect dimensioning the same area at two different scales.

You can also just copy | Paste aligned > current view, in to the callout. But i second Jsnyders thoughts... I wouldnt want the same Dim on two drawings, unless its the outer "tie in" dimension.
