How can I add a flexing leader line to this Wall based Family (see attached)? As is now, it is a non flexing leader just drawn in the annotation family.

If you look to the Drafting tab, then use the keynote command and tag by element (to a wall or something), you will see that Revit gives you a flexible leader line. That is what I am trying to do to my family. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi there...unfortunately, I think you are going about the setup the wrong way.

If you want flexible leaders, you'll need to keept the generic annotation family as a separate family.

You can create it as an electrical tag, I would think in which you can tag parameters, but you'll have to make them shared parameters in the tag and the outlet family.

Then you can just use a tag all not tagged after you place your outlets.

Does that make sense? I typed it fast...

So are you saying to create a new Electrical Tag via: File, New, Annotation Symbol, Generic Tag? (Or how do I create an electrical Tag?)

Then link the Generic Annotation Family into it?
