What is the maximum number of users you have had successfully working simultaneously working in a single Revit file.

I never had to use more then 5-6 on a single file and i've worked on ... pretty large projects.

Have had up to 12 at one time on a 200MB file, but things did run a bit slower. I absolutely certainly wouldn't want to go any higher than that. I think up to 8 would be a comfortable limit.

I think the answer is very different depending on whether it's an MEP project or not. For RME, less than 4 at once, please (last time I checked).

Ive had 7 in a file at once, roughly 265,000 SF. But worth mentioning, the project that followed it was virtually identical in size and scope, and was done with 3 and it went much faster.

Masses Of Asses is not a great theory to work off of in Revit, it appears. Weve done better with fewer people more attuned to the job, than a bucket of help at the end, all hammering on things to get them out the door.

I dont think id go more than 5 again, unless the project had so many different facets that i needed people doing that many different things.

I did some consulting earlier this year on a large healthcare project that had as many as sixteen simultaneous users. The strategy for separating large building into separate models is one to be determined early.
