View Full Version : Losing floor slabs when altering geometry

We have storefront with varying radii enclosing retail areas. Each time the storefront geometry is altered, both the floor slabs and ceilings 'disappear'. This isn't a user error (they are not being erased accidentally) but Revit appears to be dumping them when the geometry of the slabs change. Anyone have an idea as to how to stop this from happening?

That seems to happen when you have sketch lines trying to automatically follow walls or other objects that are more comlex than a simple box. Were your floors and ceilings created using the pick wall command? you can try editing them, deleting those sketch lines and just drawing in lines along the curved walls. You will have to manually update the floors and ceilings after you make changes, but it's much better than redrawing them everytime.

Prior to editing the wall use move/disjoin to remove the constraints of the floor and ceiling sketch from that wall.

I'll give it a try. Thanks!
