View Full Version : Dumb little QSAVE issue

In the grand scheme of things, this is no big deal. When I QSAVE (QS is my shortcut), I get this message: "Unable to transmit selected drawing file."

As I said, it's no big deal, because it actually does save the file, but, obviously, something is going on.
Any thoughts?

Are you using MOVEBAK?

See this thread

Yes, I am.
Now I'm getting
"qsave midpoint
nil"

:screwy:

Like I said, it's saving anyway, so it's not a big deal. It just shows up on the command line.

use command "ISAVEBAK" <0>

Unless you actually want those .BAK files.

same issue of me, i try to study MOVE BACK UP command, then i save file command message "Unable to transmit selected drawing file."
then i change location of MOVE BACK UP file.
Then i save, command message "qsave midpoint'
then i use command "ISAVEBAK" <0>, now getting "qsave"

then i use command "ISAVEBAK" <0>

....which means you are not getting any .BAK files at all (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-25AF36C1-CA4A-4C1C-8D93-1C4F436C6C25-htm.html).

The MOVEBAK command has not been updated in recent years so it may not...

As opposed to just fixing the command, it's easier to just tell us it "may not work"
At least that is one step better than not documenting a bug.
