Hello strangers! have not been here in a while, hope you are all well :) Dont have 2010 yet, but it looks like it might be a tough one to get going with! Learning a new UI is never going to be fun.... Worthwhile I hope in the long term though.
Edited, this post now as I have read through the forums and I find that pressing alt in 2010 still allows access to menus as in 2009 - or ribbons now. So I will be able to use my customised mouse buttons to shortcut and my strokeit mouse gesture software rather picking on screen than buttons / ribbons.... For some reason 2 key shortcuts dont seem to work from customised mouse buttons with Revit, using Alt + V + Z + A will work - but ZA wont work from a custom mouse button?? So Alt still works with 2010 - therefor I am very happy as I can use custom mouse buttons!
I would strongly advise those of you struggling with the UI to get programmable mouse with a load of buttons - and download the strokeit gesture software - forget about picking buttons!!
