Group will not convert to a linked file

Anyone ever seen where a group will not convert to a linked file? The file will not even be created.

Yes, I've had that happen before. After building the strucutre into our project I attempted to pull it out as a link. I made a group, and when I attempted to make it into a link it seemed to process, but never actually created a file. I attributed it to the complexity and the fact that were warnings associated with some of the elements.

I have my customer checking this now. I will report back if this fixes the problem or not.
