I'm (very) late getting to the game upgrading our office's blocks. The original blocks are still in AutoCAD 2002 format, although I have run them through a script which Purges, Zoom Extents, and QSAVEs them into 2010 format.

My problem is that in the DesignCenter it looks like everything that's on Layer 0 shows as white against the white DC background. If I highlight a block, I can see the thumbnail, and the Preview shows fine. It's just that the blocks don't show. Is this typical behavior, something due to the upgrade process, or a fluke of my Video?

Anyone ever see something like this?

Here's some screen shots of what I'm talking about. the first one shows a block with items on a non-0 layer. Looks normal, but look at the last block in the list - HWIRE.DWG. There is no thumbnail. In the next view, I have selected -HWIRE, so it is highlighted and I can see the inverse of the image. Noe that the larger Preview shows fine. (We use Magenta for layer 0)
I have other blocks that have some lines on layer 0 and other lines on other layers. Only the non-0 lines show in the thumbnail.
I have also tried adding the BLOCKICON command to my script, and it didn't make any difference.

Still don't have an answer for this, but I did figure out a slight twist.
Turns out it's not Layer 0 that has the problem. It's Magenta.
Anything I draw or any Layer that is set to Color 6 (Magenta) does not show in the Design Center Thumbnail

In the source drawing try updating your icons _BLOCKICON then save the file.

Then in Design Center navigate away from that folder then back to it to refresh and see if they are there.

Good Luck
