Please advice how to set view to show beams above on a floor plan. The beams show up on the floor it is located but that on the floor below it.
Thanks in advance.

In the View Properties dialog, set the level above as the underlay which should show your beams half-toned.
Then, use "linework" to make the beam lines appear as you wish.
(Alternatly, trace with detail lines and lock them to the beams.)
Then, turn the underlay off.

Adegnan, thanks for your reply. I have following your instrcutions but the beam did not show up? What am I doing wrong?
Just had a thought. Maybe the beam is behind the drywall finish for the ceiling finish.
Try underlay current level instead of underlay level above.

Ah, that's it FK! One of those things you do so darn often you forget what you actually do when it comes to describe it.
Speaking of, that would be a great quick-select button or right-click option: Show underlay of level:current level!
