HELP...MATERIAL TAGS ARE DISAPPEARING

While working on a drawings, material tags literally started to disappear from the drawing. Switched to another sheet and all tags were gone. Tags still appear on the another sheet but can't get them to recognize the material on the first first. I have shut down, rebooted, reloaded tags, turned off all worksets, turned on all work sets, checked visibility graphics, etc. ...I'm pooped...can't think of anything else to try..any suggstions

If you switch from hidden line to wireframe you will loose the tags. the tags need the surface to pick, wireframe removes the surface and the tags with it.

I just wanted to update this thread to verify if this is still a problem?

We have been finding similar issues as stated with the OP, but not finding this is a problem.

ie... switching to wireframe as no impact on tags or annotations disappearing.

However, some users are reporting this to be a problem, and we would really like to understand why unless of course the only answer is that it is human error.

We had some issues with users clicking on at material tag in one view and using the select all instances to select the tags in the view, and then nudging them up and down. They nudge them because the went from wireframe to hidden line and lost their associatively to the object. But once the did this, the tags disappeared from all other views. The only way we could get them to reappear was to place another tag in the view, select all instances, and nudge them. But it only worked for that view. This was a 2009 project, don't know if that issue was ever fixed.

Still having a similar issue with this RAC2013 . When we change materials of a wall or roof etc. the material tag reverts to a question mark until its nudged or moved, then it reports the correct material i.e. it doesn't automatically revise to the new material selected. What is the fix for this.
