I created a Family (Attached) with different family types in it, each type is supposed to show different versions of exit signs. It works fine when im in the family itself, but as soon as i drop i tinto a project the different types doint work.

See attached Family

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Try using a label instead :)

Hi,

I used a Label in the annotation Family, which I associated with a type parameter in the model family. Is this what you meant? It is not working properly...

Here's another way to do it which is more along the lines you were trying to do, I took off the visibility parameter and instead tied the existing NESW parameters together

mr6-

Go back to the thread we had a month ago and download those families for deconstruction... :)

David.Kingham,

David,

I am back on this task and was wondering why when I open your family that you revised and attached, when I set the type to North, the North arrow is not visible. But when the family is dropped into a RCP, it works fine - all different arrows show when set to their directional type - even North. This confuses me, it make me not understand how the family is structured and how it works.
