Shadow in plan view does not match orthograhic views

In the attached 4 views there is a plan, an axon, a perspective & a top down ortho view.
The shadow cast in the plan view is different than the other views, can anyone explane this? all view proerties are set the same, im using 2009

In the orthographic view the walls are being "cut" by the cut plane. In the "top" 3d view the walls are not being cut at all so the shadow is casting longer.
