Problems importing cad file

I just loaded 2010 and I'm trying to import a site plan view from an Autodesk Architecture file and every time I try nothing happens or it doesn't show?? Tried to bring it into a sheet and realized that probably won't work so I created a new drafting view and tried bringing it in there to no avail. Tried bringing it into floor plan site view and no luck therre either. Can somone give me a hand on this.

Check your view range. If the elevation of the imported site stuff is above the default view range values, (200' for site view), you won't see it.

if i have a problem loading a CAD file, i will load it in 3D view...

if it is still missing, you could try exporting what you already have in revit with "shared coordinates"

then open that cad file, and copy/paste the contents of the file that you are trying to import, that way you are 100% sure that it is centered on your sight rather than in the middle of nowhere.
