Is there a way to change the section cut window?

For example: you cut a section through your building, you view the section the window standard box. but what if you want the window to be a different shape... in AutoCAD you would xref the drawing and change the boundary

No, you are stuck with rectangular views. (Revit is not a CAD program. Continuing to think about it in that way is only going to give you a headache.)
