Drafing View scale and Detail Component scales don't match

Maybe some of you can help me out. I've downloaded a CAD detail and imported it to a drafting view in my model. Drafting view scale is 1'4"=1'-0". The CAD detail is that of an I-Joist hanger at a 2x4 stud wall. When I bring a detail component of an additional 2x4 from the library into the drafting view, the "Library 2x4" is much smaller in scale compared to the to the imported CAD detail.

Any ideas as to what I've done wrong?

First check in AutoCAD if the size of the element you brought is right. If it is, then check if the units you are using when importing the element is right.
