curved rail and wall - can't attach wall

OK - so I have looked at several threads here and I must be missing something.

I would just like the rail to go to the fnd wall below and STOP there.
Any ideas?
want to have something to play around with - well here you go.

OK - I got it now - I just had to remove the rail - raise the wall - create a void - BINGO!
