Is there any 3rd party alternative for this? I mean export the Revit model to another software and generate a Virtual Environment that you can "walk" around like the one you see in Microsoft's Encarta?

The best 'free' alternative is 3D DWF and Design Review. Not brilliant but it's quicker than navigating inside the Revit model.
If you want to spend some money you can get a copy of Navisworks. The models are lightweight and easily navigable.

ICEVision (http://www.ice-edge.com/iceVision.php) is a plug-in to Revit that will give you fast, and interactive walkthroughs. Their licencing is strange, but may be what you are looking for.

Apparently you can export a revit file as a stl and use Blender. (game engine similar UT)
Seems to work OK.
I have seen the end result but not the process.

No i havn't, sorry.

The example i was shown was very primitive and I think the materials need to be done in Blender.

... blender navigation is sooooo fast with camera fly mode... if we find a way to transfer materials (another export format) it will be a nice and free tool to look at your model.

I saw the site. This seems to be a much better solution. But I will have a look at Naviswork also. Thank you all for the tips.
