I'm running revit 2010 on vista32. When revit tries to print a sheet that contains a JPG revit crashes automatically.
What's even more concrening is that others are having the same problem - found this on Autodesk Discussion groups (http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=6196616&)

I've found a blog that recommends to set your printer to "raster".

It has worked for me with a single image per sheet. and also in my case it only allows me to print 1 sheet at a time... which is time consuming and VERY frustrating...

This is an IMPORTANT issue to resolve. There are timelines and I can't imagine printing all our projects in this way from now on.
I'd appreciate if someone can look at this matter and let us know if a patch becomes available. Thanks

This is a problem for me too (I contributed to the threads mentioned above).

I have submitted a support request, but not really heard any response from Autodesk yet.

Possible causes are your graphics driver (try updating it, or rolling back to a driver on the AutoCAD certified list) or if you are using a Quad Core PC.

Revit 2010 does not work properly on many Quad core PCs - it exhibits all sorts of problems when printing, especially to PDF as explained in these threads.

As you stated, this is very important, and I would imagine that it will be addressed in the first service pack (although Autodesk havent said that it will be).
