Nested Families: Scheduling

Hi-

I'm wondering how to schedule nested components in families. Eg. A radiator with flow and return valves. Is it possible to go into the flow valve family, change the cost, and for it to come through to the radiator family and then the project? What is the best way to set up these parameters?

Open the nested family, go to Settings>Family Category and Parameters, and check the box to make the family shared. Then reload into the host family, save, and reload into project. This should allow you to schedule parameters from the nested family. Also, remember that any parameters you want to tag and/or schedule need to be shared parameters. Hope that works for you.
