Wall sweep wrap problem

This is the first time I've tried this, so I'm not sure if it is even possible. I have placed a wall sweep of a chair rail on my wall. I want the chair rail to wrap around the end of this wall, but using the change sweep returns, I can only get this result.
Do I have to remove the sweep from the wall and add the sweep through the "Create" button?

After you have changed the sweep return. you can go to a 3D view or elevation and grip edit the length of the return. Once the sweeps touch, you can ue join geometry to clean the linework between the two sweeps.
