Components, Parameters, and Schedules?

Hi All,

Here's the scenario: I have a ton of Furniture Systems Components. I have created custom text parameters within each component, at a family level.

Is it possible to schedule text parameters, that were created on the Family Level? I can't seem to access them. Is there a trick, or is it not accessible?

I know that I can create parameters within the schedule. But that is causing other problems for me. I am finding that parameters created within the schedule, don't update properly as I move the components from one RVT file to another.

They'd have to be shared parameters, then they will be accessible.

Be wary, too. When you convert them from Family parameters to shared parameters, youll use the values youve inserted for the FP's when you reload the fam in the project...

EDIT: So instead of modifying the param, you may want to to ADD the SP to it so you can migrate the data...
