Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any info on using Revit for the design and documentation of stadiums or arenas. Towers, offices, hospitals and residential projects seem to be common typologies for using Revit in my office... but less so with sports projects.

We have a couple of new sports projects coming in and would like to know what has been done in the software so far with regards to these types of buildings. Especially since they can sometimes be more unique in terms of form and structure.

Thanks!

Here's one that I know of: HKS Inc designed the new Dallas Cowboys stadium using Revit. One of the largest clear-spanned structures in the world.

Scott,

I'm sure the animation was done in 3dsMax.

Was the modeling/architecture really done in Revit?

I saw something about this on the Max site about a year ago.........

cheers.

Had to be designed to withstand the crushing weight of all those egos.

Some members of our user group showed a great stadium they were working on in Revit, unfortunately I have nothing from it to share.

In addition to HKS, major firms involved in sports architecture include HOK and HNTB (with whom I consulted last year). Both are Revit leaders.
