View Full Version : Viewport placeholders (i'm losing it)

I was starting to see the light with SSM placeholders until i ran into this field. The attached drawing has 2 callout blocks (one for meters and one for millimeters). When i place a view or a view label, the viewport scale shows up as weird scientific number. If i edit the field, change the property from viewport scale to something else and then back again it corrects itself.

You'll also notice that in the mm block, the format field won't hold.

If someone can explain these to me maybe they can also enlighten me as to how to get the meters scales to work correctly. (ie: 1:1000 instead of 1:1)

I got it to work by separating them out. also for the meters, just replace the ct1 with ct11[1000] in the field expression.

But maybe someone can answer this for me:

After getting this all set up and testing it on a sample sheet set i can't figure out how to get the label views to point back to the sheet the section was cut from. Ex. I have a Section A cut on Plan B. When i place the Section A view it labels it with the sheet number that Section A is on (what good is that). How would i get it to label the sheet number that Plan B is on.

I know i could just point the edit the field to a sheet set parameter but i'm trying to get this as automated as possible for the end user.

Thanks,
