We have a master wall type Revit file. When I get into a new project, I copy and paste numerous wall types from the master file into the project file.

In 2009, I could copy and paste those numerous wall types all at once. Highlight 15 wall types, if I want, Copy to Clipboard, Ctrl-Tab to my project and paste them in. Done.

I tried to do it 2010 and I had to copy and paste each wall type individually. Am I missing something?

If I am in a plan view and select numerous items, walls and doors, whatever, the Copy to Clipboard tool is available. If I select items from the Project Browser, the Copy to Clipboard command is not available. It was in 2009.

Again, am I not seeing something or did Autodesk miss this item?

I never used this method. I use the transfer project standards to get elements from other files (I call them farms). So there are farms for wall types, door types, railings, stairs, etc...

But I just tried you way and it worked the same way in both versions. It will copy multiple walls from the project browser and paste into the new file. However, if you try selecting elements from different categories (like selecting a few walls and a few doors) then the option Copy to clipboard (or CTRL+C) won't be available (on both 2009 and 2010). Are you sure you got multiple categories selected in 2009?

Andre...I use very little keyboard commands. I'm a slave to clicking on command buttons. In 2009, you could highlight several items and either click the copy to clipboard button, or right click the mouse and copy to clipboard. I've never even used Ctrl C.

In 2010, when you highlight several items in the browser, there is no copy to clipboard button and right clicking the mouse does not bring up the option to copy to clipboard. However, when I used Ctrl C, it did indeed work.

Thanks.
