The early lead goes to "the Brit - Phil Palmer" bringing some international flare to the event... Not to mention the metric system....

Prospective Chump Davis...where do you stand on use of shadows on construction documentation drawings?? Isn't it true that you once voted against this but are now for it?

<in my best john kerry>Yes sir, I'll have to admit it is nearly true. My opponents will say that there is an "e" in tomato, but I will stand firm on this issue! Once, I was lost, but now I'm found. I've been hot at times, and cold at times. Shadows can be helpful and a detriment at the same time. I remember once, as a boy growing up, that I lost my shadow, and spent an entire summer looking for it....."

Wes -
Is it true that you and Phil Palmer are going to combine your skills, talents and votes to represent the international audience? That is what the underground is reporting...
Power to the people!!!

Now, since I also work at WLC Architects, I have been graced with the opportunity to personally witness the true character of Scott Davis. Having spent many years observing his personal abilities both on Revit and off, I must say I have been disappointed. Simply, he has no record. His advice...merely stolen from other forums. His contacts....blackmail. You don't want to know what he has on the head of the Revit Team. His skills....he makes Michael Graves look good!
My opinion: Scott's the perfect candidate for Chump! :)

There's only 100 votes or so? Where are the voters? I'm not going to be online for the results (I'm waaaay out in the woods of Canada, showing the glories of Autodesk software to more of the lost, and there's no internet there), so good luck to all the candidates... and I hope the decision is clearer than last night's results in the US. Whoa. It's like deja vu all over again...

Hanging chads, dimpled CADs (I mean Chads)... the horror, the horror:eek:
Glad to see the Candian contingent in front (at this point anyway). You aren't going to pull a fast one and try to claim the exchange rate makes Wes's votes worth less are you? ;)

Thank you to all who voted the polls are closed. It has come to my attention that the Wes campaign may have votes that were from unregistered voters(non AUGI members until this morning) . We believe that number to be 6 votes. I am throwing those out which leaves Wes with 17 votes and Scott Davis with 16 votes.
The winner is Wes!!!! Congratulations.

Thank you to all who voted the polls are closed. It has come to my attention that the Wes campaign may have votes that were from unregistered voters(non AUGI members until this morning). No kidding :( some of my comrades from the Vancouver area got wind of the idea that they could submit me to public humiliation, and decided to vote! I told them not to bother -- there's bound to be enough voting irregularities on Nov 2nd for people to deal with (esp if you live in Ohio).
I only wish more people from this forum had voted. And I wish that I could get all of our Revit users in Vancouver ACTIVE on this forum... only about 10-15% of them are here.
I was working towards an international team, so I voted for Phil -- who now appears to be too busy to show up
In which case, I would have voted for Scott D, whose tips over the months have saved me and our users tons of time and made Revit even more fun.
Any chance I can take a date to STC Challenge? ;)

Does concession by US candidate means that everyone has to start using metric system?

I've had my head in a hole in the ground, didn't even know I had been nominated as a "chump" - What an HONOR :D :D
Thanks for the nomination, but I will not be attending AU due to a previous committment. Too late to withdraw, I just notice the polls are closed. Man, just like the election....

That would be nice!It really would be nice for us Canadians if the US started building in metric. Well, heck, it would be great for the whole world.
I don't know how Americans feel about it, but Canadians of course initially hated Metric when it was introduced what? 25-30 years ago here by Trudeau. But it makes great sense, and it is in the end easier to work with. The stupid thing is that all our codes are in Metric, but we build in Imperial. So when you're making a set of drawings in Canada, you wonder what to do, esp since some authorities offer a reduction in permit fees if your dimensions are in Metric! :banghead:
And Scott -- don't concede yet... I barely made it to AU last year.
