I did a cool trick with the site the other day, and thought I would share. If you create a flat roof on level 1, and make the material grass, you can sweep a profile along the edges of the roof. (make a curb shaped profile) This works awsome when you have large amounts of site islands and curbs. see atacked revit example for clearification.

You could also create a Floor and then sweep it with a custom Slab Edge profile.

only prob with using a Floor Family is that if you want to show color fills the site turns off (but that's the case with topo too). So when I have a flat site (90% of the time, for me) I just use a big in-place family that I put into the site catagory. Then I can make gutters and curbs and such just within that...

That is a cool idea jeff, I like to do the site seporate, and link in the building model. That way I can do different site adaps on the same site, (Not like many prototypes change much, but I dont want to change the master )The only problem I have in doing this, is the decals do not show up shen it is linked them in. Anyone else have this problem?

Thats really bad practice Jarod, why not just make a sweep that follows that path with picked surfaces?
Or you could use a floor and make a slab edge with a curb profile to get the same result.
Now for my question:
Does anyone know how to get a curb to follow the path of a graded 45 degree surface?

LOL bad practice huh. well you can follow your profile up a 45 degree slope with ease using my method.
Sometimes if it looks stupid but works in revit its not stupid.

Who are you to say it's "really bad practice"? It's pretty much the same as using floor objects. We've been using floor objects for things like grass, paving, sidewalks, etc. for years. We have a floor slab edge profile for curbs, which host quite nicely to the floors.
I just wish we could attach a sweep to the edges of toposurfaces.

Any workaround that provides an accurate technical description in Revit is ok practice in my book. I was trying to create in place masses (sweeps) to follow contours for curbs. Didn't work. Glad I found this post since it shows there is another way.
