Odd, and potentially awful, quirk I noticed in version 7.
I haven't done any real project work in 7...only playing to see all the new functions...but when I click the "x" up in the top left to close Revit, it doesn't ask me if I want to save my work...it just closes out.

As someone who occasionally forgets to hit the save command before closing out, this could be disastrous if I'd done a lot of work previous to closing Revit.

Our firm won't be doing any project work in 7 until the full release...but I do hope this glitch gets corrected!!!!

In my experience, Revit will close without a save prompt if there has been a recent save or if no changes have been made to the model since the last save.

That was also the case with previous versions going back to at least 4.0 , I think.

Are you running it in demo/viewer, or standalone (60-day trial)? If it's in the demo/viewer mode, save is not enabled, so I don't think it will ask you if you want to save.

Ahhhhh...silly me. I didn't install it and I hadn't tried saving any work in 7 yet...so I wasn't aware mine was in demo mode.

Yes, that can be dangerous! One time, way back in maybe, 3.0 days or something like that, my license ran out and was not automatically renewed (had to be a monthly download back then) and it entered demo mode automatically. I continued to work the time before an auto-save, accidentlly hit the close button and lost all of it! I was very upset!!!

All the same, it would be nice if there was a warning that said... do you want to buy revit now so that you can save...????
