When I bring a project home I have to manually check-out every thing I want to edit. Views, sheets, materials... How can I check everything out at once. I'm the only one editing the model. Thanks.

If youre absolutely CERTAIN no one will touch the model before you get back, just take the file home, open it with DFC, and make it a new central at home. Then do the same thing when you get back tomorrow, and write over your central.
But be sure, lol...

make sure the 4 types are ticked (user-created/Project Standards/Families/Views) then select control key "CTRL A" (select all)

I've tried it both ways. (I get in VERY early) and if you check everything out, then check it back in, no one has to make a new local. IF it is made a new central, then when it is brought back, the process has to be repeated, and everyone, yourself included has to make a new local.
Depending upon the firms policies for making new locals, this may not be an issue. Our practice does some collaboration with other firms, sometimes the central resides in other offices, and making new locals, gets complicated (Trying to work on those at home is simply not possible).

We mandate a new local every day, so its not much of an issue. Heck, with 2010's local file creator, i make a new local everytime i open the file...
