Hello,

I have a floor plan and RCP of a curving hallway, and I would like to focus the attention on the hallway in question. Because Revit only allows for a rectangular crop region, I am stuck with elements in and around the curve being visible. I was hoping, however, to gray out the rooms and such around the hallway and avoid just overriding their graphics to halftone (as this controls an entire wall, and in some instances I only want half of a wall in gray). Is there a way to draw a masking region and edit its transparency? Suggestions or answers are appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

If this is for a single presentation view, I would probably just cheat by drawing detail lines of the wall, then hide the wall in view. Split the lines and change line weights to get the visual result you are after.

Cheers

Thanks Ian. I applied your advice to only the elements that lay within the boundary I wanted in a regular line type and it worked well.
