custom parameter categories?

I`ve made a family with a lot of input parameters (~100). In the creating proces i tried to group this parameters in different existing categories because it was the easyest way to have them logicaly grouped. Anyway, when i finished i realised that it would be better if this categories had specific names , related with the grups of parameters, so new custom categories would be necesary.
Is this possible?

Of course I thought about put all in the same category separating the grups by a fake parameter (that just has a name like a custom category name) but the process of reorder a already made parameter is to complicated for so many parameters (i`m refering at the trick from augi with zebra&banana :) )

I don't think you can create new categories for grouping your parameters. The workaround you already found is probably your only way of sorting it.

By the way, 100 parameters? Which kind of family are you creating, if you don't mind asking?
