Question about columns

How do I get different size columns, rectangular or w-flange in Revit 2009. Do I have to create them, or can I download them from somewhere?

Check the imperial library under structural. Standard AISC sizes come with the installation.

To clarify a bit:

Included in Revit out-of-the-box:

Architectural Columns -- non-structural, rectangular/square or round

Structural Columns -- steel tubes, wide flange shapes, concrete, etc.

These are in different library locations, and are used for different purposes.
