View Full Version : Why won't my consultant Revit links load?

I have a file with a Revit MEP file linked in. For some reason, when I open my local file, the link NEVER loads. I always have to go to Manage Links and load it manually. Every single time.

In Manage links, under Saved Path it shows the actual path on our engineer's server, but then in Local Alias it shows the path to where we have the file saved on our server. Could this be what's causing it to not load when I open my file?

I also have a site linked file and it loads up just fine every time I open my building file.

Try opening the central file and fixing the path in the central. The problem could also be a result of someone else on the project that has the wrong path and that kicks it out.

A few months back, I had loading problems. I was advised by dhurtubise to link files into the central file. A pain, because everybody has to get out of the pool, but it worked.

And use UNC path and not the mpa drive.
Like //Server/{Share} instead of P:/Project
