Hi

I have been using Acad 2010 for about a week now.
On the first day it came up with an unhandled access violation. (sorry, did not write the code down), but after that it has literally been bombing every day without any errors shown. It just closes and comes up with the CER.
It does this in various commands and while sitting idle on its own. So no help with specific commands. One more thiing it did; it changed settings in my options dialogue box. Specifically my autosave function.

This happens to different files of different sizes. The last being a 700kb file with a 7mb xref in it. both the xref and the file was Purged, audited, etc. I do this regular cleanup of drawings on a daily basis.

I have looked for patches on the net, but being new I am assuming there aren't any.
This is my system spec, which i already checked for Autodesk certification. (it complies)
P4 3gHz processor with 4gb ram on XP with SP3
Screen card is nVidia GeForce 6200 Version 8.4.2.1

If anybody can help me or point me in the right direction, please.

I will run a defrag tonight to check if it might be the cause of my problem and am thinking that a re-install might be the next option...

First thing I would try is running a repair on your installation.

You can do this through the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
