if you were to distribute families that were to be scheduled, how do you get added params in that family to appear in a schedule field? if only shared params can be scheduled from families, how do you distribute that information out of the office with the families?
thank you for your suggestions.

You would have to send the shared parameters file along with it. That way, others who receive your file could then manually cut and paste your family parameters into their shared parameters file, if need be. Otherwise, only your families could be scheduled, and no others could be added to a schedule.

would your personal preference be to use a new shared param file when creating this family and include that entire file?
thank you Scott.

thank you Scott. It would depend upon what and why you are distributing the family. If it is for exchange/selling, and just a single family (regardless of the number of types) then yes, a separate shared parameters file for each family is the way to go. IF it is another consultant/architectural team member, then no. A shared parameters file that covers all of the families would be the correct way to go.
