I have am trying to build a catalogue using dynamic blocks. I have been experimenting with a drawing of a simple cabinet. I have a textbox with the string "00-BDSL400". This describes the cabinet. The 00 represents the number in the drawing (or should). The BDSL is the catalogue name and the 400 is the width.
I have managed to automatically update the 400 when the cabinet is strechted dynamically. But my problem is that I need the 00 to be a unique number, incrementing every time I insert another unit. I need it to be like 01-BDSL400 for the first unit. Then when I drag in the next one (even if it has a different catalogue name), it should be something like 02-BDP800.
I don't know if this is possible, but I hope it is, and if anyone knows how to achieve this, please help.
