This is a simple query about Generation of Slope Symbols . In the Image, both are two different Revit projects & Roofs r Drawn by Roof By Footprints. Slope = Defined & Overhang = 5’.
In d Left side Project (upgraded from RAC 2008 to 2009), Slope Symbols are by default generated OUTSIDE d Roof Sketch Boundary. But In d Right side Project (RAC 2009 Project), Slope Symbols r by default generated INSIDE d Roof Sketch Boundary.
I just want to generate d Slope Symbols in the Right Project File, OUTSIDE d Roof Sketch lines boundary. Please tell dat how it can be done.

It is probably related to the direction you drew the sketch line for the roof. left to right or right to left. This will flip the symbol to one side or the other. Either way it does not make a difference to the outcome of the final roof.

Sir, I Sketch the Roof Sketch Lines in each possible directions but every time, slope symbols are generated inside the Roof Sketch line boundary. It may wont effect on the outcome & shape of the roof, but I want to know the reason that why Slope symbols are not generating Outside the Roof Sketch line boundary "Like the Right hand side project."

Jeff's right,
in addition
Using the Roof by footprint > pick wall> the Roof sketch Lines adopt the direction of the walls you pick.
Any chance you changed the Orientations of the wall(s) (flip control) ? Changing them do not affect the direction of the wall(s) > hence position of slope arrow stays the same.
If it is of any importance to you , create the walls clockwise to have the slope arrows outside the boundary or counterclockwise to have them in.

Thanks, Jeff & eddy are right. The Roof sketch Lines adopt the direction of the walls I pick. Thanks to both of you.
