Label contour & Subregion

How does one go about labeling the contours of a region of topo that has been split with the Subregion command?

I get an error: Contour Label doesn't intersect any contours. Bug?

I'm sure i've done this before without any hassles. Sorry to be blunt but did you check to see the line drawn for the contour label intersects a contour...

Maybe they have to be redrawn after you create the subregion.. I'll have to check this.

Yes, it does cross contour lines.
As you can see from the image, one of the contour lines worked on a non-subregioned topo, but then I try a little further down (where the dashed orange line is), and get the error.
